Tigers beat Wizards: Malawi TNM Super League

Azam Tigers came to winning ways on Sunday after prunning Wizards FC 2-1 in the TNM Super League at Mulanje Park Stadium.

The Kau-kau boys who went over five games without registering victory scored their goals through Bonda Mpinganjira and Luke Chima,while Misheck Bottomani reduced the arrears.

The Kau Kau boys are on position eight with 21 points,while Wizards are on number eleven with 19 points.

Tigers coach Patrick Kulemeka was relieved with the outcome of the game saluting his troops for what he described it as ‘a right path in the second round.

“This is the right path in the second round and coming from so many games without victory gives me hope that we will do well in the second round,”said Kulemeka.

Wizards FC coach Trevor Kajawa said his boys were unfortunate to loss the match saying it doesnt reflect with their perfomance.

“It is another bad in office otherwise my boys played well.But what l can assure our fans is that we will bounce back very soon,”he said.

In another encounter in Chitowe,Blantyre United saw green after a 2-0 defeat in the hands of Mafco FC.

Meanwhile, Be Forward Wanderers still top the log table after Silver Strikers failed to dislodge them.

The bankers drew 0-0 with Blue Eagles.

They have 34 points on second slot,a point behind the Nomads who have a game in hand.
