TNM launches data sharing service: It’s great to share

Malawi’s integrated mobile network and ICT service provider TNM is proud to announce launch of Data Sharing, an innovative service that allows customers to share their data with friends and family.

Its great to share

With data sharing, family and friends can tap internet access from a single connection point. This service is unique in the sense that, unlike Wi-Fi hotspot tethering, customers need not be in close proximity with beneficiaries in order to share their data.

Launching the service, TNM’s Chief Officer–Consumer Services Daniel Makata said this is another unique innovation from TNM as the company continues to meet customer needs.

“With this service, we hope to transform the lives of our customers through increased internet access as a result of sharing. One thing our subscribers should note is that this is not once off sharing but rather, they will be able to connect and activate selected numbers to their device for their desired period of time,” said Makata.

Makata said the initiative is also in line with the company’s thematic campaign “It’s Great,” which seeks to offer nothing but the best to customers in line with Malawian values.

“Renowned Public speaker, Brian Tracy said, “Love only grows by sharing,” and Malawians are well known for their generosity and hospitality. TNM, being a Malawian company, embraces this fact and would like to encourage it further through the data-sharing service,” he pointed out.

The service is available for free to its customers. Customers must go to Google Play Store and download the TNM Smart App to register for this service. Once registered, customers can add as many numbers as they please so that the beneficiaries enjoy internet access from the parent number. Service is absolutely free and applies strictly to data bundles.
