Wanderers, Bullets tussle for Tigers player Kaliati

Mighty  Be-Forward Wanderers and Big Bullets have taken their rivalry to another level as they are battling for the signature of Azam Tigers upcoming midfielder Isaac Kaliati reaching up at an extent of consulting his parents.

Kaliati proved a blossoming star in the just ended TNM Super League 2014 season .

Big Bullets, who are participating in the CAF are trying to rope in four players in their squad while the Nomads with the sounding sponsorship from Be-Forward  a Japanese car dealers are trying to beef up their squad ahead of the 2015 season.

Bullets general secretary Harold Fote confirmed to have approached Kaliati’s parents on the possibility of letting their child to join their team.

Fote said they have also already written Tigers on their plans to rope in the slippery player to Bullets.

“We are 100 percent confident  that we will sign Kaliati because he is a skillful player which we will require as we prepare CAF games,” said Fote.

However, Mighty Be-Forward Wanderers chairman George Chamangwana has challenged the Peoples Team that Kaliati will join the Nomads camp.

Chamangwana said they have already exchanged e-mails with Tigers on the possibility of buying him and stressed the deal will be sealed soon.

“Kaliati will become a Nomad,” he assured.

Meanwhile, Azam Tigers team manager Steven Madeira has fired a warning shot to the two Blantyre giants that Kaliati is not for sale.

Madeira said they are not letting any player to jump the ship because they want to build their squad around players like Kaliati.

  2. Kaliati should decide where to because it his future. If he makes wrong decision, he should not cry for anyone. Who knows may be this is his chance to expose himself.

  3. I am concerned with what is happening in Bullets camp. We already have good players and I am surprised with the attitude of Bullets officials. They should know that not all people are happy that the have joined CAF. What they should do is to intensify the preparations. February is not far away and yet we dont hear of any friendlies. You dont depend on others to do things for you. I was happy with what Fisher said, ‘we have a good squad and therefore there is no need to buy new players. Wake up Bullets. I wish you all the best.
