Malawi U-17 coaching panel named: Msakakuona head coach
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has named the under 17 coaching panel to lead the team to this year’s Cosafa tournament.
According to a press release issued Monday in Blantyre by FAM Chief Executive Officer, Gift Gunda, FAM named Deklerk Msakakuona as head coach for Under 17 football team.
He said the Executive Committee made the decision during their second quarter meeting which was held in Blantyre on June 17, 2017.
Msakakuona is of the assistant coaches to the National team coach, Ranny Van Geneugden and will be assisted by Peter Mponda.
Gunda disclosed that the team manager will be Enos Chatama, team physiotherapist is Victor Jobo and goalkeeper trainer is Hethewin Mkumbuleza.
He said the technical panel will lead the team to Cosafa Under 17 Youth Championship to take place in Mauritius in July, 2017.
FAM through their Technical advisor, John Kaputa are in the process of identifying under 17 players from all the regions in readiness for camping.
