Nyasa Guruz’s Blakseed in Edinburgh reggae chart

One Blakseed-member of Nyasa Guruz-could as well start counting on his fate of making it to international stardom after his pop-reggae single ‘Want Your Number’ made it into Scotland’s Edinburgh reggae chart.

Blakseed born Brave Mnyayi is one of founding members of the local dance-hall crew, Nyasa Guruz to embark on solo project, just after another member Blakjak who is currently enjoying wave of popularity with his hit-song Wadya Iwe.

Nyasa Guruz once made headlines with its popular track Tumpale-a song that made the crew a household name in early 2000s.Unfortunately the group, almost defunct now, silently went into stupor while at the pick of its fame and just after it successfully signed to Fada recording label of UK.

In an interview, Blakseed said he has released two tracks for promotion including Want Your Number, which is quickly becoming popular and enjoys airplay even on Radio One Scotland.

“I am currently working on solo album but not yet named. I have done two songs for promotion and getting to know the market here. Basically my music revolves around love both sides, positive and negative,” said Blakseed.

The artist who currently resides in UK with his family disclosed that he has turned down several offers from some music record labels, arguing he is waiting for a bigger opportunity.

“Since my first single I have been approached by a number of producers wanting to sign me to their labels but am not in a rush. I want to sign for a bigger recording label. However, some of my songs are going to be produced by an American producer he already sent me some samples and they are really good.

“And I have been invited to perform in Wales Concert, which fundraises for an education project in Malawi and I regard such opportunity as another positive outcome since I started my project as solo artist,” he said.

In order to add flavor and make the album more mature, he said he was in process of roping in services of other artists through collaborations.
