Blue Eagles and Malawi national football team robust midfielder Micium Mhone has landed gold in South Africa at the top league side Jomos Cosmos.
Micium has been offered K7 million signing on fee and a K1.7 million monthly salary.
The enterprising player, who has since returned to the Rainbow nation, could neither deny nor confirm the deal only saying he has been offered a lucrative deal.
“The only thing I can say now is that I have been offered a very a good package,” he said.
“I will be able to talk much on the details once I have actually signed the deal and everything is finalized.”
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers forward Muhammad Sulumba has also been offered a mouth-watering contract.
However, Sulumba’s future hangs in the hands of former club Blantyre United.
United who have loaned the player to the Nomads have not yet agreed on the transfer fee for the player.
Blantyre United Technical Director Lawson Nakoma said they were still discussing the issue with Jomos Cosmos.
“We made an offer and they are yet to come back to us. We are still discussing with them,” Nakoma said.
Wanderers have no much say about Sulumba but argued that the Lali Lubani Road outfit polished the rough edges for him to be spotted by Cosmos.
Mhone and Sulumba were spotted at the recent Cosafa Cup where Malawi despite failing to win the main cup came back with the less lucrative trophy Plate after defeating hosts South Africa in the semifinals and Zambia in the final.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
