Mutharika urges Malawi youth to register in large numbers for 2019 elections

resident Peter Mutharika has urged the youth in the country to register in large numbers during the voters’ registration exercise that is starting on 26th June, 2018.

Mutharika: Encourages youth to registers as voters

Speaking Sunday when he greeted people who gathered alongside M1 road in Dedza on his way from Ntcheu to Lilongwe where he presided over the ground breaking ceremony of the Ntcheu Tsangano-Neno-Mwanza Road, Mutharika said it is important for the youth in the country to register so that they vote during the 2019 tripartite elections.

“You should know that when you don’t register, you can’t vote,” Mutharika told the gathering while urging the youth to go in their large numbers and vote during the forthcoming tripartite elections.

The President assured people in Dedza that his government would continue with development activities for the benefit of all Malawians.

Speaking earlier, Secretary General for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Grezelder Jeffrey asked people to support the ruling DPP and vote for it during the 2019 elections.

Muthalika is now demanding support from the North Youth, the Region he and his late thug and corrupt brother Bingu hated the most.It is disgustingly shamefull for Muthalika to day to tell the Youth whom he does not care about them.Muthalika your politics is so cheap that you can not win the battle in 2019 believe it or not.The people can not forget what you have done and what you are doing to our country. Both of you and your brother, have completely destroyed and put our country into a state of denigration where we have been regrettably turned into dinosaurs of… Read more »

You demented cruel and wicked person. A son of perdition who has punished the youth from the north and ensure his tribe enjoys the collective toil of all Malawians. The youth from the north must wake up and dare not vote for this wicked man. Northern youth, you have to define your destiny. Jappie, Grace Chiumia, Goodall, Chilenga, Sanga and many more northern puppets are there to earn a living and nothing to offer to our region. We need Chakwera or Chilima here.

I disagree. Youths countrywide (not only from the North) should all be rejecting mediocrity. For e.g. what does a form IV student in Nthalire (CP) have that his/ her counterparts in Kasiya (LL) and Nkando (MJ) have? Probably all these students are studying using ‘koloboyi’. Unless one opts to be inferior intellectually, why think going to college to college with say 25 points while your colleague (similar conditions) with 14 points has been completely left out? Where is your pride? Of course as a nation ‘tidzingozikwata ndi chala chonchi’ but forget genuine development!! Politicians should STOP deliberately giving wrong definition… Read more »
