Wanderers return to league action

The top flight schedule for week 8 of the TNM Super League released by Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has thrown up some mouth-watering clashes that will surely whet the appetite of supporters as the battle for championship in the 2017-18 Super League continues this weekend.

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers returns to action on Sunday after being on the sidelines for a week after contributing five players to the national team squad that travelled to South Africa last Thursday to participate at this years Cosafa Castle Cup.

The Nomads will face Azam Tigers at MDC stadium.

The game promises to be a cracker as Tigers will be looking forward to recover from their 3-2 defeat they suffered in the hands of struggling and bottom placed Chitipa United last Sunday.

The defeat came 24 hours after beating Mzuzu United in a game deemed to have been crucial and difficult comparing to that of Chitipa.

On the other hand, the Nomads will be looking forward to maintain their perfect start having played four games and managed to win all.

They are currently among the quartate of teams leading the 16 member league log standings.

The Nomads along side Red Lions, Azam Tigers and Nyasa Big Bullets have accumulated 12 points each and are separated with goal difference.

But the other three teams have played three or four more games comparing to Wanderers.

Another crucial encounter is expected to be witnessed at Civo Stadium Civil Sporting Club play host to City rivals Blue Eagles FC at Civo on Saturday.

Blue Eagles are on position six position with 11 points while Civil are just above the relegation zone-position 13 with seven points from seven games.

Struggling Blantyre United who are second from the bottom welcomes Dwangwa United while Mzuni FC play host to Premier Bet Wizard at the Mzuzu Stadium.

Seventh placed Mafco FC face Kamuzu Barracks who are on position 11 in an all soldiers affair at the Chitowe Stadium and finally Moyale Barracks play host to Master Security Services.

Meanwhile, Blantyre United owner and technical director Lawson Nakoma has confessed that they are indeed going through a bad path and admitted it will take time for his side to settle.

My take could be that Wanderers will have a shocker this weekend. they needed full house in my opinion..
my earnest prediction is a painful drop of important points at MDC
